20-year-old Norwegian Edvald Boasson Hagen successfully fended off some of professional cycling’s best-known time triallists to clinch stage three of the Criterium International for Team High Road.
Riding against specialists like David Zabriskie and Bobby Julich of the USA, David Millar of Great Britain and Spain’s Luis Leon Sanchez, Boasson Hagen stopped the clock for the 8.3 kilometre course in a time of 10 minutes and 16 seconds. It was his first win in High Road colours after joining the team this winter.
Strong performances for Arndt in Italy

Judith Arndt put in some good performances over the weekend in the two one day races called GP Cosat Etrusca. On two consecutive days a strong field raced over some difficult terrain with both races containing hill top finishes.
Ardnt placed fifth in Saturday's race and third on Sunday feeling herself come into form for the up and coming classics.

Kim Anderson and Alex Rhodes repeated their performance of yesterdays San Dimas Road Race with another successful breakaway ride in todays final stage. Yesterdays result saw Rhodes win the stage and Anderson the yellow jersey. Today the pair rode to the same result with Rhodes taking another stage win and Anderson confirming her lead and going home with her first stage race victory since 2004.
Teammates Mara Abbott and Anke Wichmann worked hard all day to ensure the break stayed away and Wichmann led out youngster Emilia Fahlin who won the bunch sprint for third place.

Mark Cavendish and Bradley Wiggins brooked no opposition in the Men’s Madison Title at the World Track Championships on Saturday.
Riding for Great Britain, the High Road duo scored 16 points in the 50 kilometre race, and clinched the gold medal by taking back a lap in the last part of the event.
Germany finished with silver after taking 13 points, whilst Denmark were bronze with 11.
For Wiggins this is his third gold medal in the World Track Championships in Manchester, following victories in the team and individual pursuit races.

Alex Rhodes won the San Dimas Road Race today after breaking away with her teammate Kim Anderson mid way through the race and making over two minutes on the field. Anderson's advantage over the field today and her second placing in yesterdays time trial earned her the yellow jersey going into the final stage.
Anderson initiated the break after sprinting for the mountain sprint on the fourth lap and opening up a solo gap. Shortly after Rhodes attacked from a smal group on the descent and made it across. The pair worked together for the remainder of the race.

The comeback kid from the peloton that started in the 51st E3 Prijs Harelbeke was definitely Bernhard Eisel. "How many times did I come back?" was the question he asked Cyclingnews after crossing the finish line in sixth position.
Before the start Brecht Decaluwé caught up with the Austrian and chatted about his persistent performance in Paris-Roubaix 2006. It was a race in which Eisel was dropped behind on the cobbles several times, but managed to come back between the cars in between the pave sectors. "I thought about it when I got dropped, I never gave up."

High Road’s Andreas Klier has shown rising form for the Classics in the Across Flanders one-day race in Belgium on Wednesday.
The German finished a solid fourth place at the end of the rainsoaked 200 kilometre race. But what really impressed was the way the Classics specialist helped forged the main chase group behind final winner Sylvain Chavanel - and still had enough fuel left in the tank for a top five finish.

Bradley Wiggins blasted to his second gold medal in less than 24 hours at the World Championships on Thursday - as an integral part of the Great Britain’s team pursuit squad.
Track cycling events are normally won or lost by fractions of seconds. But Great Britain’s domination of the final against Denmark was so powerful Wiggins could pump his fist skywards in triumph more than a lap from the finish line.

High Road's US National Road Champion Mara Abbott put in a top performance at the San Dimas opening time trial in Glendora today with her teammate Kim Anderson placing second.
The 3.8mile Time Trial was set on a perfect course for climbing talent Abbott who rocketing up the twisty mountain finishing with a time of 15'38", 45 seconds in front of her teammate Anderson, with ValueAct Capital's Leah Goldstein taking third place another 20 seconds back.
The result puts Team High Road into a good position going into the 56 mile road race tomorrow.

High Road’s Bob Stapleton has made an upbeat analysis of his team’s global performance in the first three months of 2008 - highlighting collectively strong rides in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Europe.
“We’ve had a much better start than we could have hoped for.” Stapleton says. “Beginning with a dominating performance by the men’s team in the Tour Down Under, with [multiple stage winner and first rider overall] Andrei Greipel.”
“Then we did well in the Tour of California, despite losing half the team, including our two general classification riders, to illness and injury.”
“In Tirreno-Adriatico, the team performed very well. Thomas [Lovkvist] finshed third overall and took the best young rider’s prize, and Linus [Gerdemann] could well have won the overall [before crashing out injured.]
“As for High Road’s women’s team, we’re doing super, with 14 victories so far this season.”

March 24th will see High Road’s Women’s Team taking part in the Trofeo Alfredo Binda race in northern Italy - and gunning for their first European win of 2008.
“We had some bad luck in Het Volk last weekend, so we’re very keen to take our first victory in Europe this time round.” team sports director Ronny Lauke said.
“[High Road rider] Oenone Wood was in a good position in the final kilometer of Het Volk, but then a crash changed the shape of the race completely. If that incident hadn’t happened, we’re sure she would have got a great result.”

Team High Road is sending a squad that aims to cover all bases in the first major Classic of the season, Milan - San Remo. Taking part in the arduous 298 kilometre challenge on Saturday 22nd March for High Road will be Gerald Ciolek (Ger), Bernhard Eisel (Aut), Roger Hammond (GB), George Hincapie (USA), Kim Kirchen (Lux), Andreas Klier (Ger), Thomas Lovkvist (Swe) and Vicente Reynes (Spa). Best placed of the High Road riders in 2007 was Vicente Reynes, who finished ninth whilst Kim Kirchen was 13th. Andreas Klier and George Hincapie have both posted top 15 places in recent years.

Linus Gerdemann crashed yesterday during a time trial in the Tirreno Adriatico Stage Race in Italy and finished the race with fractures on his left upper and lower leg. The 25 years old German riding for Team High Road was in promising position for the general classification when he crashed going into a left turn.

Thomas Lövkvist placed third in today's 26 Km time trial in Tirreno Adriatico. His performance moved him from sixth to third in the General Classification and confirmed his lead in the young riders classification.
Team High Road also currently leads the Team Classification with two stages remaining in the race.
Sixth win for High Road women in California

Ina-Yoko Teutenberg won todays Sequouia Classic in Visalia California taking the sixth win for the High Road Women in California. The race was fast and aggressive but the strong winds kept the bunch together for a bunch sprint. Teutenberg came of the wheel of Brooke Miller (Tipco) to take the win from Miller and Lauren Franges.
The race was the end of the 99 Series that runs through the central Californian Valley. High Road's Anke Wichmann finished the series in the lead with teammate Mara Abbott in second place.

Michael Rogers, a member of Team High Road, has been diagnosed with EBV (Epstein-Barr-Virus) infection that will require Rogers to rest completely for at least four weeks, and remove himself from competition for at least eight weeks. The diagnosis was confirmed by physicians for Team High Road and independently by physicians for Rogers.

High Road's Ina-Yoko Teutenberg won the Central Valley Cycling Classic in Fresno today taking the sprint out of a break of five.
After an aggressive start to the race with contstant attacks, Teutenberg took advantage of a gap she earned sprinting for a mid race prime. She immediately opened up the distance to the bunch and was eventually joined by four others for the remainder of the race.

High Road's youngest rider, Emilia Fahlin took her second victory of the season winning the sprint out of a break of five at the Merced Downtown Grand Prix. The High Road women were agressive from the start with Anderson staying away solo for the majority of the race. When caught Fahlin countered opening up an immediate gap with one other rider. Eventually Anderson followed an attack bridged to the pair making it four.

h Road's Ina-Yoko Teutenberg won the final stage of Tour of New Zealand out of an eight person break. Her teammate Oenone Wood finished the Tour in second place overall behind Cervelo Lifeforce rider Kristin Armstrong, with Judith Arndt finishing in fourth.
Cavendish wins British Madison Title

With his normal partner, Bradley Wiggins still sick after Tour of California, Mark Cavendish raced the British Madison Championships with a Peter Kennaugh and the pair dominated the 50 km race. They won the first sprint to set things off and by the end of the race they were two laps clear of their nearest rivals. Cavendish is looking forward to the World Championships coming up.
Woods Wins Stage 4 of Tour of New Zealand

Oenone Wood won the bunch sprint at the end of Stage Four of the Tour of New Zealand, taking a ten second time bonus to bring her closer to race leader, Kristin Armstrong. Wood's High Road teammates did a strong lead out to get her to the line, with Rochelle Gilmore taking second place and High Road's Ina-Yoko Teutenberg taking third place. Tomorrow's final day consists of a time trial and a criterium again in the city of Wellington.
